Concept Presentation – Stuurmen AI Story generator

I worked on this presentation with Thammy which is one my studio members of Patched, we did this presentation to show our progress, share our ideas, concepts and direction on how we’re going to reach our goal for our final product. This presentation only consisted of the branding, concept and Demo, since the stakeholders already have seen the findings and conclusions from our customer journey, interviews and other researches that we have conducted. So we focused mainly on iterations of the wireframe prototypes and the branding.

Feedback from stakeholders

The feedback that we received from our stakeholder Sven confirmed that we were on the right track progress wise, one of the main points that he mentioned is that we make sure the flow from opening the app to starting a story is quick without any delays for the user. A random story generation button was suggested, but it might need some changes before it works well. He also liked the idea of a random character creation instead of pre-chosen ones. Adding Profile picture isn’t necessary, since it’s a child app, a random image will do. The educational level needs to be easier to understand, maybe a dropdown for each level instead of percentages and users should be able to start reading without setting everything up from scratch. Lastly the connection between reading level and educational level also needs work, we should consider renaming or rethinking it to make it more clearer.

For registration single sign in options like Apple or Google were suggested to make process of logging faster and simpler, with an option to skip registration entirely and start using the app right away. Onboarding is important, but the last page of it needs fewer closing options, because there is to many. The “create a story” feature also feels too-text heavy, so I’m advised to balance it with more visuals for characters.

The idea of tracking story progress with a tracker feature within the app was well received, but not necessary for now one last thing was that we had to many navigations in our homepage, so it’s worth checking out competitors on how they have done that.

Reflection

Based on the given feedback during the end of the presentation, I will be focusing on making the wireframe app prototype more user-friendly and efficient. I'll incorporate the stakeholders' input and continue iterating, testing, and refining the prototype in Figma.
